
WELLBEING AND MINDFULNESS IN SCHOOLS
This interactive training course helps teachers explore how wellbeing can be nurtured in schools to create happier, more motivated, and resilient learners. Participants will discover practical tools to strengthen both teacher and student wellbeing, enhance emotional balance, and promote a positive school climate. Through experiential activities, group reflection, and cooperative learning, participants will learn how to integrate emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and positive education strategies into their daily teaching practice. The course combines personal development with classroom application, offering space for self-awareness, creativity, and intercultural exchange.

Objectives:
- Understand the concept of wellbeing and its impact on teaching and learning.
- Develop emotional intelligence and self-regulation skills.
- Practise mindfulness and stress-management techniques for teachers and students.
- Learn strategies to build positive relationships and a supportive classroom climate.
- Create a personal or school-level wellbeing project or plan.
Course programme:
- Module 1:Understanding Wellbeing in Education. The meaning and dimensions of wellbeing (physical, emotional, social, mental). The PERMA model of Positive Psychology.
The role of school culture and teacher wellbeing in student success. - Module 2: Emotional Intelligence and Self-Awareness. Components of Emotional Intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills). Emotional literacy and classroom communication. Strategies to identify and manage emotions in teaching and learning contexts.
- Module 3: User Interface principles: Mindfulness and Stress Management.Introduction to mindfulness and its benefits for teachers and students.
Mindful breathing, grounding, and relaxation techniques.
Reducing stress and improving concentration through short classroom practices. - Module 4: Building Positive Relationships and Classroom Climate.
Cooperative learning for inclusion and belonging.
Restorative communication and conflict resolution strategies. Developing empathy, trust, and mutual respect in the classroom. - Module 5: Designing a Wellbeing Action Plan. Integrating wellbeing principles into teaching routines. Designing a wellbeing project, lesson, or initiative for the school. Peer feedback and sharing best practices across European contexts.

If your group includes three or more participants, the course you book becomes confirmed, as three is the minimum number required for a course to take place. If, as a group, you wish to request alternative dates, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your group’s preferences.
Important information for all courses
Schedule: Lessons take place in the morning. The final schedule will be provided no later than 2 weeks prior to the participants’ arrival. The course provider may make minor last minute changes to the schedule and content if the situation requires it.
Course Fee: 400 € per participant for a 5-day course. Accommodation is not included with the fee, however, we are happy to provide recommendations and support you finding hotels, B&Bs, and local properties.
Certificate: Participants must attend at least 80 % of the lessons to obtain the Certificate of Attendance and the Europass Mobility certificate at the end of the course.
Cultural activities: A guided walking tour is a part of each course.
Cancellation Policy: If the participant cancels the course more than 30 days before the course starts, all fees will be refunded.
If the participant cancels the course between 30 and 7 days before the course starts, they will be refunded in the form of a voucher to be used for future courses.
The course is non-refundable If the participant cancels 7 days before the course start date.
This course requires a minimum of 3 participants. In the unlikely event of not reaching 3 participants, do not worry, you will have the chance to join an alternative course on the exact same dates.
