This course is designed for educators participating in Erasmus+ to explore the principles and practices of cooperative work in the classroom. Participants will learn how to foster teamwork among students, create collaborative learning environments, and implement strategies that promote effective group work. The course emphasises practical tools and activities to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Objectives:
- Understand the benefits and principles of cooperative learning.
- Learn to design and facilitate effective group activities.
- Explore strategies for assessing group work and individual contributions.
- Develop skills for managing diverse teams in the classroom.
Course Modules:
- Module 1: Introduction to Cooperative Learning Overview of cooperative learning principles and benefits. Discussion on the role of cooperation in fostering a positive classroom culture.
- Module 2: Designing Cooperative Activities. Strategies for creating engaging group tasks and projects.
- Module 3: Facilitating Group Work Techniques for managing group dynamics and promoting effective collaboration.
- Module 4: Assessing Group Work Methods for evaluating group projects and individual contributions.
- Module 5: Addressing Challenges in Cooperative Learning Identifying and overcoming common challenges in group work.

Important information for all courses
Schedule: Lessons take place either in the morning or in the afternoon depending on the trainers’ availability. The final schedule will be provided no later than 2 weeks prior to the participants’ arrival. The course provider may make minor last minute changes to the schedule and content if the situation requires it.
Equipment: Participants may be required to bring their own laptop or a tablet, depending on the course.
Course Fee: 400 € per participant for a 5-day course. Accommodation is not included with the fee, however, we are happy to provide recommendations and support you finding hotels, B&Bs, and local properties.
Certificate: Participants must attend at least 80 % of the lessons to obtain the Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course.
Cultural activities: A guided walking tour is a part of each course.
Cancellation Policy: If the participant cancels the course more than 30 days before the course starts, all fees will be refunded.
If the participant cancels the course between 30 and 7 days before the course starts, they will be refunded in the form of a voucher to be used for future courses.
The course is non-refundable If the participant cancels 7 days before the course start date.
This course requires a minimum of four participants. In the unlikely event of not reaching four participants, do not worry, you will have the chance to join an alternative course on the exact same dates.
